Farva Layak Place in Vadodara (formerly Baroda) is the third largest city in Gujarat, located on the bank of Vishwamitri River, towards the south-east of Ahmedabad. Built in 1936 as a royal mausoleum of the Gaekwad dynasty, Kirti Mandir now stands as a glorious monument of Vadodara. The grand building, situated in the heart of the city, was set up in the honor of Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III's silver jubilee celebration. This E-shaped building features beautiful elements like balconies, terraces, tombs, domes and a brilliantly carved 35 meters high central shikhara. Although it looks simple from the outside, but the temple interiors showcases impressive pictures, murals by Nandalal Bose, based on themes like Gangavataran, Life of Meera, the battle of Mahabharat and Natir Poojan and some rare paintings from the famous artist Raja Ravi Varma. Baroda Museum and Art Gallery Vadodara, Gujarat

Established in the year 1887 by Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III, Baroda Museum and Art Gallery is a known repository of artifacts, sculptures, ancient manuscripts in Gujarat. The building of the museum, which is one of the finest examples of the Indo-Saracenic style of architecture, was designed by Mant and Chisholm and built by Sayajirao in 1849. Museum is divided into two parts, the first building is a museum, another one is a photo gallery and both are connected with the passage.

In the museum on display are antiques from foreign countries like Japan, China, Nepal, amongst other countries. Apart from antiques, in the museum one can see a collection of Mughal miniatures, original paintings, masterpieces, and sculptures.
